Schindler Galabau aims to make this website as accessible as practicable. We follow the German Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG) where applicable and use WCAG 2.2 Level AA as our technical target.
Despite careful work, fully seamless accessibility is not always achievable in every place — for example with embedded third-party services or evolving browser capabilities. Where we are aware of limitations, we describe them below.
Technical and editorial measures
In particular we implement:
- Semantic HTML with a sensible heading structure; collapsible regions where they aid orientation (e.g. table of contents on long pages).
- A “skip to content” link and consistently visible keyboard focus.
- Display settings via a persistent panel (“Display”): font scaling, high contrast, underlined links, stronger focus outlines, reduced motion, wider spacing and reduced saturation. Settings are stored only locally in your browser.
- Adequate text contrast (commonly around 4.5 : 1 for body text), within brand and design constraints.
- Alternative text for meaningful images and clear control labels where appropriate.
- Keyboard and screen reader access for key components (navigation, cookie banner, accessibility panel, image gallery).
- Respect for prefers-reduced-motion, complemented by a manual “reduce motion” option in the panel.
- External content (such as maps) is only loaded after consent in the cookie banner — keeping the default experience free of unnecessary third-party scripts.
Assistive display tools
Use the “Display” control (bottom left) or the footer link to open display settings at any time. You will also find read-aloud helpers there where supported by your browser.
If this panel itself causes issues, please contact us using the details below — we treat that as accessibility feedback too.
Known limitations
Some parts of the site rely on third parties (e.g. embedded maps after consent). We cannot fully control their accessibility. Should we publish PDFs or scans in future and you encounter barriers, tell us briefly and we will see whether we can provide a more accessible alternative.
Preparation and currency of this statement
This statement is based on self-assessment. It was last reviewed in May 2026 and updated to reflect the website as it stood at that time.
Feedback and reporting barriers
Hints on barriers or questions about accessibility help us improve. Please tell us which page is affected and, if possible, which assistive technology or browser you use. Email us at info@schindler-galabau.de or call 0176 45290745.
Complaint to the competent body
If you believe we have not adequately responded to your accessibility feedback, you may contact the Federal enforcement body for accessible ICT (Germany, external) for information on prerequisites and next steps.
